NOTE: Do not start your upgrade prior to receiving project approval from LGC staff by email or mail.
You submit your rebate application online (or send us a hard copy of your application by mail). This is how we check if if you are eligible for the rebate, your project plans, and register you in our rebate system. In our application, you will need to be prepared to share and upload the following:

Your Pre-Project Application will be reviewed within 1-3 business days of your submittal. If your application is approved, you will receive an email if you applied online or a letter if you applied via regular mail. Along with your approval letter, we will send:

You have 3 months after receiving your approval letter to complete your landscape upgrade project. You can apply for an extension if you find you need more time, but do note that it will push back receiving your rebate as well.
After you have completed your project, you are ready to request your rebate. Send us the following items as a part of your Completion Package:
Your Completion Package can be sent by email to wecaninfo@lgc.org, or via regular mail.
We will request the rebate funds from our funder, the Department of Water Resources (DWR), on the 1st of the month following the date of your completion package, not on the date of submission. We will receive these funds within 1 month of placing the request, and will mail checks to successful applicants within two weeks of receiving them from DWR.
